The Rewind Button is a group blogging project instigated by Rachel Tynan. As part of her New Years’ Resolutions for 2012, she set out to listen to Rolling Stone’s top 50 albums of all time. I thought it would be fun if a group of bloggers listened to the same albums at the same time, then posted their reactions. We’re going through the Top 40 and will be continuing with a new album every Thursday. Want to join in? We’d love to have you. Email me if you have a blog, or just offer up your two cents in my comments area below.
This week: The Sun Sessions (1954/1955 – Released 1976)

On the occasion of Elvis’s first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show, way back when, my sister, my brother, and myself were home alone. We really had no idea that he was guesting until my Grandmother called and told us NOT to watch it! You should have seen that channel selector twirl!
Hahaha! That’s hilarious, Russ.
My Dad also told me that the first time his family saw Elvis on TV, his dad took one look at Elvis’ facial expressions and said: “That guy’s drunk! Why are they letting him on TV?”
Great video! This is just awesome, sweet, and lovely.
Thank you!
That was excellent.
Unbelievable! I loved every minute of it. No wonder you’re so multi-talented Reb – your dad has some skills. Too bad he wouldn’t give us a hip shake just for old time’s sake…
Thanks Dave! It was a fun one.
Maybe it’s for the best that I didn’t film my dad’s swinging nether regions though….
